Brushing: Use our Opulence Pro Wet Detangling Brush to gently detangle the hair starting from the ends and working your way up towards the roots. Avoid brushing vigorously to prevent damage.
Shampooing | Conditioning | Drying: Depending on how often you wear your wig, wash it every 14 days for daily wear, once a month or as needed (washing too often will dry out your wig faster). Make sure to squeeze out excess water after shampooing and rinsing, and before applying the conditioner. After washing, apply a small amount of conditioner to the hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes, then rinse it out thoroughly with lukewarm water. Be sure not to get conditioner on the cap/base as conditioner may loosen the knots. Towel dry by gently patting/squeezing excess water. Apply the Opulence Everyday Miracle Treatment and Amethyst Oil and carefully brush your piece and allow hair to air dry naturally on a wig stand or use a lightly heated blow dryer, Avoid rubbing or wringing the hair as this can cause tangling and damage to the fibers.
Styling: Once the wig is completely dry, you can style it as desired using heat styling tools such as straighteners or curling irons. Use low heat settings and always apply Opulence Amethyst Oil after to protect and prevent damage to the hair fibers. I do not suggest going above 300 degrees unless you fast at styling and curling
Storage: When not in use, store your wig or topper on a wig stand or in a breathable storage bag or satin bag away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. This will help maintain its shape and prevent tangling.
Avoiding Friction: Be mindful of friction when wearing your wig or topper, especially when wearing hats, shirts with high collars, scarves, etc. Friction can cause friction and lead to tangling or matting. Always carefully detangle with your Opulence Pro Wet Detangling Brush starting at the bottom and working towards the top.
Avoiding Heat: Avoid exposing your wig or topper to excessive heat sources such as ovens, grills, or open flames, as heat can cause damage.
Regular Maintenance: Your wig is human hair, meaning it will oxidize in sun light and florescent light over time. You may want to consider bringing it or sending it to Opulence Salon MN for a Conditioning, Coloring, Toning or Trimming Service. Timing will depend on wear amount, care, environment etc…
